lpv:spoken text	"I welcome the adoption of the Pargneaux report on serious cross-border threats to health. This report will help Member States prepare for and protect citizens against possible future pandemics and environmental disasters. It is essential that we have mechanisms in place which help us to deal with serious threats to human health such as the massive flooding which has occurred in central European countries in recent weeks. I believe this report goes some way towards rectifying the Commission’s overly regulatory proposal which encroached on the principle of subsidiarity and did not allow for the higher standards already available in some Member States. I also welcome the introduction of the mechanism which will lead to faster vaccination in an emergency."@en1
