lpv:spoken text	"By voting against the proposed amendment to the Council’s position, I support the trilogue compromise that aims for an early second reading agreement on the OLAF Regulation. While the draft new regulation is not perfect, it certainly offers a number of improvements on the current regulation. It will increase OLAF’s competence with regard to investigations, the enhancement of procedural guarantees and the protection of fundamental rights. After more than six years of negotiations a good compromise has finally been reached and I am pleased that the common position adopted in Council has been voted without amendments and that the legislative process has not been delayed."@en1
