"I supported this report and generally agree with the continuing efforts to enable joined-up thinking in the marine economy. The seas around Europe offer huge potential for all our coastal regions and can act as a catalyst for growth and recovery. Nevertheless, I am mindful of the failures to date of the CFP and believe that in all its maritime initiatives the EU must recognise the important regional differences in Europe’s maritime areas."@en1
