lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, we have to remember that reducing road fatalities is something that the Member States in the European Union have already agreed to do. What we should now do is turn our attention to the number of seriously injured on our roads; this is also very important. I would like to mention three things. Firstly, it is important to collect and share data so that we can learn lessons from each other. Secondly, others have mentioned the design of lorry cabs; this is something that I would have liked to have seen in the resolution. Thirdly, eCall is now on the way, but what we do not yet have is a real agreement on the emergency number. Before we bring in mandatory eCall, we must make it mandatory for the Member States to implement the 112 number, which is redirected to 999 in the UK. Otherwise bringing in the mandatory eCall for manufacturers is going to be completely irrelevant."@en1
