"In support of increasing the employment rate amongst Member States, I voted in favour of the educational and occupational mobility of women report. As Europe seeks to open up the labour market to make it more accessible to all, this report aims to facilitate such mobility between both men and women. I believe it is essential that Europe continues to act and encourage other Member States to increase their professional and educational mobility. Educational programmes such as Erasmus, which thousands of students benefit from every year, should be given financial support. Furthermore, women’s issues will also be highlighted in improving facilities such as childcare aiding a better work/life balance and will make possible women’s integration into the labour market. I feel that this will promote the freedom of choice for women in seeking a job in the EU, allowing women to move as much as their male counterparts."@en1
