"I welcome this report on the fight against tax fraud, tax evasion and tax havens. The UK is responsible for one in five of the world’s tax havens. The UK government has pledged to lead the fight against tax havens and tax fraud, and yet it has failed to bring forward the measures Labour has called for to increase transparency and end the era of tax secrecy. Whilst my constituency of London is home to the FTSE 100 index, many of the companies registered on the FTSE are in fact domiciled in tax havens. To make profit in London but not pay tax here is fundamentally unfair to my constituents who depend on the public services provided in London by that tax revenue. I am opposed to the proposal for a Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base, but otherwise, I support this report."@en1
