Investing in social enterprise is essential in times of economic uncertainty as it helps to promote an agenda centred on jobs and growth, as well as supporting projects that will have a positive influence in social terms. In giving start-ups and small companies the opportunity to find capital, this new fund will encourage the creation of businesses with a social conscience, a vital tool if we are to combat the profit-driven values that led to the financial crisis."@en1
