lpv:spoken text	"I believe that it is of the utmost importance to support agriculture in the smaller Aegean Islands and this is why I have voted in support of this report. Agriculture in these islands faces many challenges. The way in which the Aegean Islands are dispersed presents a major transport issue for agriculture here. I support the proposal to increase the budget appropriations for the special supply arrangements, especially as this will not bring about a decrease in the appropriations for local production. It is also necessary to create more accessible transport links for farmers in the smaller Aegean Islands in order to reduce the transport costs to which they are subject. Overall, I voted in favour of this report as I believe that it will ensure that agriculture plays an important role in the economy of the Aegean Islands going into the future. Hopefully it will not allow the economy of these islands to become dependent on just the tourism industry and therefore it will provide greater economic stability throughout the year, and not just in the tourist season."@en1
