The Edinburgh Agreement recently signed by the UK and Scottish Governments is founded on that democratic principle: that the people of Scotland have the right to decide upon Scotland’s constitutional future. The Commission is bound too by Article 2 and Mr Barroso should bear this in mind when next pontificating on the subject of Scottish independence."@en1
