lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this resolution, which calls for an end to poor transport conditions for animals. I support the recommendations in this report, which include the possible implementation of an eight-hour limit on journey times and more effective enforcement of existing legislation, as well as more punitive measures for those who breach transportation guidelines. Long journeys to abattoirs should also be avoided by easing the decline of small, local slaughterhouses, a move that would promote animal welfare and promote local processing. These recommendations are an important first step in ensuring that animal suffering is reduced as much as possible."@en1
