lpv:translated text	"Council Regulation (EC) No 2371/2002 established the Union system for the conservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources under the common fisheries policy (CFP). The CFP should ensure that fishing and aquaculture activities contribute to long-term sustainable environmental, economic and social conditions. It should also contribute to increased productivity, a decent standard of living within the fisheries sector and a stable market and it should also ensure that resources are available and supplies reach consumers at a reasonable price. The objectives for fisheries were established in a decision taken at a conference of the signatories to the Agreement on a Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020, and the CFP should ensure compliance with the targets for biodiversity adopted by the European Council and the targets laid down by the Commission, in particular with the target of achieving maximum sustainable yield up until 2015. I consider it important that management of the CFP is based on the best available scientific advice and broad participation of the interested parties and that it should take a long-term view."@en1
