The cessation of rocket attacks is imperative and cannot be up for negotiation. Terror is not a policy and Hamas must understand that. Equally, however, while there can be no question that Israel is entitled to protect itself, Tzahal should be more measured in its retaliation. The blockade on the Gaza Strip has been going on for too long now. Tel-Aviv must loosen its grip on this narrow strip of land. Its actions are counter-productive from a security viewpoint and create an intolerable humanitarian situation for the Palestinians."@en1
