I would recall that a number of the amendments which are a matter of concern to the Commission relate to matters which are covered by the framework agreement between the Commission and the Parliament. The Commission is, of course, fully committed to implementing the 2010 revised framework agreement between our institutions and believes that this agreement offers the best place to address Parliament’s concerns, rather than this particular piece of legislation that we have discussed today. In any event, I took careful note of your remarks and I will pass them on to Commissioner De Gucht. The Commission looks forward to engaging in discussions with you in the trialogue, with a view to finding an agreement on this proposal.
