I support the Commission’s proposal related to the migration from SIS 1+ to SIS II. In parallel to its intention to apply the legal framework for SIS II from the moment the first Member State completes its switchover to the new system. I welcome the Commission’s proposal to provide for the possibility to cofinance certain national activities related to the migration up to 75 %. Nevertheless, given the political importance of the issue and its significant budget, I regret that the European Parliament is only limited to a consulting role."@en1
