I believe that it is essential to mobilise the Solidarity Fund, in this case to help Italy to cope with the damage caused by the earthquake there on 20 May. That earthquake destroyed homes and infrastructure in Modena and Ferrara in the region of Emilia-Romagna. I therefore voted for this report, which expresses, with much more than words, our active solidarity with those affected."@en1
