lpv:translated text	". − As a substitute member of the Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, I voted in favour of this report as the JPA is an essential instrument for dialogue and cooperation between the EU and African, Caribbean and Pacific countries. By virtue of its political nature, the ever more active role played by its members and the quality of its debates, the JPA makes a vital contribution to the ACP-EU partnership. However, more attention needs to be paid to the outcomes of the work of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, and coherence between its resolutions and those of the European Parliament needs to be ensured. Through this vote in favour, I also express my satisfaction with the reduction in the time spent on the sessions from four days to three, which enables considerable savings to be made in terms of the costs involved."@en1
