"Social enterprises make a huge contribution to the EU economy and I fully support this initiative, which looks at fostering their development. The proposals will establish a European financial instrument to lever funding for start-up enterprises and contribute towards developing and expanding established enterprises. With a particular focus on measures to promote social entrepreneurship for young and disadvantaged people, the Social Business Initiative is a positive step towards encouraging the creation of innovative social enterprises."@en1
