"The internet has facilitated access to information and more sources of information. It is also an educational tool that is still used too little in French schools. This is why the European Parliament believes that young people’s access to digital technology should be promoted, while still guaranteeing a high level of protection – and I share that belief. Parliament believes that young people are also being educated by this new medium, in the sense that it contributes to educating young people in citizenship. However, this learning tool needs to be strictly regulated, since abuses exist, in the form of illegal or inappropriate content, and must be prevented."@en1
