". − The Pirate Party is fully aware of the many challenges faced by children and young people in digital environments. However, Parliament has failed to consider all these challenges in this report. Instead of safeguarding freedom of speech and open communication and contact, the report encourages taking responsibility for what is a good, legal and democratic debate among private bodies rather than within the court system. However, private enterprises are not constitutional courts and do not have the expertise, knowledge or opportunity to establish such difficult boundaries. Additionally, the consistent mistrust of children and young people’s interactions with other people does not protect children and runs the risk of damaging their natural attitude towards adults and their surrounding world. Therefore, the Pirate Party has voted against this report."@en1
