lpv:translated text	"Unfortunately, we hear about accidents involving agricultural and forestry vehicles all too often and particular attention needs to be paid to their safety as well as their impact on the environment. Partly a means of conveyance, partly working tools, these vehicles have seen significant improvements in recent years in terms of their comfort levels and manoeuvrability. Just as with other types of vehicle, I believe that, in times of crisis, we should not give in to the temptation to make it too easy for people to travel in vehicles that are not safe, but by the same token we should not overburden consumers with unnecessary or irrelevant demands. Harmonised rules on the manufacture of these vehicles can have a positive impact on the safety and well-being of rural populations. I do hope this will be the case."@en1
