"The amendments made to the European Parliament’s Rules of Procedure by this report are aimed at institutionalising an interinstitutional negotiating procedure that has been conducted abusively by the largest political groups in the European Parliament. In other words, trilogue negotiations begin without groups like our own – the Confederal Group of the European United Left – Nordic Green Left – having had the opportunity to table any proposals. In this way, this amendment to the European Parliament’s Rules of Procedure is aimed at limiting the ability of those that disagree with the majority in the European Parliament to intervene, make proposals and raise complaints. This attitude flies in the face of all the marketing about how the European institutions are being made increasingly democratic."@en1
