If we do not give European citizens the ability to know what their elected representatives have said and how they voted, I wonder whether they will be able to hold them to account at the next elections. The review of Rule 70 of the Rules of Procedure, through the incorporation of some key elements of the Code of conduct for negotiating in the context of the ordinary legislative procedures in the binding part of the Rules, will make the procedures more effective, more transparent and above all more inclusive.
