To allow the common agricultural policy to be structured as efficiently as possible, there are a number of instruments for promoting sales, such as support for operational programmes in the fruit and vegetable sector, support for the promotion of wine in non-EU countries, the School Fruit and School Milk Schemes and support for promotion activities by producer groups. All these measures are now used to deal with food crises. I voted in favour of the report, as I agree with the rapporteur that a new promotion policy needs to be defined. In addition, it is essential to draw consumers’ attention to European agricultural products."@en1
