Enterprises in the social economy contribute significantly to the European Social Model and to achieving the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy, especially in terms of a) combating poverty and exclusion, and b) employment and innovation. We must enable these enterprises, in their various legal forms (mutual societies, cooperatives, etc.), to access sufficient, sustainable funding.
