". I voted in favour of the report on special temporary measures for the recruitment of officials and temporary staff of the European Union. On the eve of Croatia’s accession, the regulations concerning the general rules on recruitment of European Union staff must be amended on a temporary basis to open up recruitment to Croatian nationals. I support adjusting these access conditions as a matter of urgency, particularly for linguists, given that Croatian is about to become one of the EU’s official languages."@en1
