The risk they run is higher than for car drivers. I welcome the simplification of the current legal framework and feel that, in this context, greater importance should be given to the environmental, safety and market supervision aspects. At the same time, we should be aiming to improve the internal market and to protect essential public interests. This is the only way we can achieve more efficient, safer and more environmentally friendly urban mobility. I think that innovation in vehicles and the economic aspects of the proposal are of major importance.
