lpv:translated text	"Mr President, Commissioner, the Ceauşescu regime fell 23 years ago. It was not possible to have a multi-party system then, and in fact dissenters were harassed and persecuted. It is appalling that, after 23 years, the members and supporters of my party, the Hungarian People’s Party of Transylvania, are persecuted and intimidated in a similar manner. The Public Prosecutor’s Office and the police call them in and search for them at their workplaces in Satu Mare, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Hunedoara and Sibiu counties, where they supported the creation of our party with their signatures. You should know that there will be national elections on 9 December, and that my party is being attacked because we are against corruption and emphatically support federalism, autonomy and minority rights. I hereby ask Commissioner Reding, as well as Parliament and the Commission, to investigate the Romanian Government led by Victor Ponta and Crin Antonescu, to ensure that it does not violate the values of the rule of law, democracy, electoral freedom, minority rights and democratic pluralism."@en1
