lpv:translated text	". Madam President, Commissioner, Ms Oomen-Ruijten was right to say that in the World Bank index, Russia occupies 120th place where ease of doing business is concerned. We hope that Russia’s entry into the World Trade Organisation will put this situation right and make the country more business-friendly because, to put it simply, Russians deserve this. Commissioner Šefčovič spoke of this protectionalism, or protectionism, which we fear. We have several other concerns as well, but I think we are engaging in cooperation, and we have facilitated Russia’s accession to the WTO precisely in order to combat this protectionism, and to give Russia a chance to have a liberal, free-market economy. I am also pleased by the response from Mr Cutaş, who pointed out that we do not want a certain discrimination in the scope of energy supplies and diversification in this area to continue; but I am pleased too that Mr Cutaş and the representative of the Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance mentioned the subject of human rights, because we are actually expecting … I can see the Russian Federation representative in the gallery. Please would you convey to your nation that we are glad that you are in the WTO, and we would like you to be as wealthy a society as can be, enjoying all of the benefits that the societies and nations of the European Union enjoy.
