"Having regard to the fact that a Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Serbia, of the other part, was signed in Luxembourg on 29 April 2008 and entered into force on 1 February 2010, in order to ensure the correct and smooth application of the Interim Agreement, the Commission is proposing an Implementing Regulation to lay down rules and procedures for the adoption of detailed rules for the implementation of certain provisions of these Agreements. Bearing in mind that this has previously been done for other SAAs by means of regulations that form part of the Trade Omnibus I Regulation, the amendments to the Commission proposal under examination should mirror the amendments made by the Trade Omnibus I report to the provisions of these regulations. For the sake of consistency in trade legislation, I am voting in favour of the proposal."@en1
