lpv:translated text	". − I voted in favour of this report because the ratification of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the European Communities and the Republic of Serbia marked a historic moment in the relationship between the two parties. Moreover, the granting of candidate status to Serbia this year marked another step forwards on the road to this country’s reconciliation with the Union. I believe that by adopting these additional implementing procedures for the Stabilisation and Association Agreement and the Interim Agreement, we will be able to stimulate trade with Serbia in the agricultural and fisheries sectors. In addition, the Union will be able to ensure that Serbia complies with competition requirements when it places products on the European market. Not least, these procedures will spur Serbia to push ahead with reforms in other key areas in order to deepen its cooperation with the European Union."@en1
