".
Madam President, communication is actually the basis for the creation of new jobs. The European Union, through the Roaming Regulation, has set standards, and not only in the single market, since it is also in the process of setting international standards, as communication also needs standards and technical legislation, and this was accordingly supported and achieved by the European Parliament. The Connecting Europe Facility is a further step towards entering the high-speed broadband field and making communication affordable. Affordable communication is also the basis for a successful strategy for the single market. For that reason, the frequency regulations and the framework regulations for future auction and allocation of frequencies will need to play an appropriate role."@en1
