The EU must choose the best combination of policies and resources to tackle poverty by increasing the quality of aid and directing aid towards the countries where it can have the most impact. I believe that, in the future, EU efforts should focus on sustainable development that also ensures the protection of the environment, biodiversity and natural resources and preventing natural disasters. It is why the EU development policy should promote a green economy capable of creating jobs without endangering the environment. In addition, I believe that the capacity of developing states to cope with climate change should be increased. I voted in favour of this report."@en1
