lpv:translated text	"The European Parliament has just approved the Protocol on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA), which will be annexed to the Association Agreement between the EU and Israel. This agreement, as adopted, does not guarantee that the products that arrive on our market will not be partly manufactured in the settlements, contrary to the provisions of European and international law. Let us not forget that the European Union condemns Israel’s settlement policy, which it considers to be illegal, and that it decided in 2009 to suspend any upgrade of relations with Israel (following the launch of Operation Cast Lead against Gaza). We are therefore sending out mixed messages, which are contradictory and difficult to understand. It is for this reason that I voted against the adoption of the agreement."@en1
