"I voted in favour of the report on the Community regime for the control of exports, transfer, brokering and transit of dual-use items. These rules aim to limit the risk of military use of sensitive dual-use products (chemicals, telecommunication software and devices). Without hampering legitimate trade, it is important to develop a full system of general export authorisations for the EU in order to fight effectively against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In my opinion, this report will undoubtedly allow us to pursue a risk-free export policy for our dual-use goods."@en1
