lpv:translated text	"The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) was created in order to provide additional assistance to workers being laid off as a consequence of major structural changes in world trade patterns. On 9 August 2012, the Commission adopted a new proposal for a Decision on the mobilisation of the EGF in favour of Spain in order to support the reintegration in the labour market of workers made redundant due to major structural changes in world trade patterns due to globalisation. In accordance with Commission’s assessment, the application fulfils the eligibility criteria set up by the EGF Regulation, and underlining the importance of ensuring a rapid procedure with due respect of the Interinstitutional Agreement for the adoption of Decisions on the mobilisation of the fund, I voted in favour of the proposal."@en1
