"The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund was created in 2006 in order to provide a tangible response to workers made redundant as a result of globalisation, and in 2009 its scope was broadened to include workers made redundant as a result of the current financial and economic crisis, in order to assist their reintegration in the labour market. Today we approved the mobilisation of a total of EUR 4 325 854 for 878 redundancies in 35 shipbuilding enterprises operating in the region of Galicia in Spain."@en1
