"I voted in favour of the report on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF): application EGF/2012/001 IE/Talk Talk from Ireland. The EGF is designed to provide additional support to workers who have been made redundant as a result of major structural changes in world trade patterns and to assist their reintegration in the labour market. I strongly support this initiative, which allows us to help Ireland to deal with huge job losses (586 redundancies) in the new information technologies sector since its application meets the conditions for deploying the EGF."@en1
