Following the report of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the opinion of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Parliament, in approving this text, has shown a firm desire to implement a true Single European Sky. The aim is to use airspace and current technology to make traffic management as efficient as possible and above all to ensure that consumers do not waste time and money. It should also be underlined that according to the Commission full and timely deployment of the Single European Sky Air Traffic Management Research technology could bring major benefits in terms of job creation, environmental protection and shorter flight times.
