lpv:translated text	"Mr President, the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA) is not a simple technical agreement. It means stronger EU-Israeli relations and free access to Europe’s single market even though the EU decided in 2009 to suspend the upgrading of its economic relations with Israel. Supporting this agreement means acknowledging and encouraging the illegal settlement of the Palestinian territories; it means acknowledging and encouraging the illegal and inhumane blockade of Gaza. The reports by our ambassadors in Jerusalem recommend that we adopt binding measures to put an end to the settlements. The European Union has stated that the Israeli settlement policy is an obstacle to peace so, for the sake of consistency, if we adopt the ACAA we should refuse the Nobel Peace Prize."@en1
