"Mr President, the resolutions that we debate here usually deal with things that happen outside Europe’s borders, but we also have to discuss what happened in Hungary. The focus is nevertheless on the fact that, when people are transferred, it is usually agreed that they will remain in prison. After a number of years, they then often get the chance to be pardoned or released.
In this case, it was decided on day one to honour a murderer as a kind of hero and reward him financially in order to exacerbate the conflict. There can be no purpose to this other than to foster hatred and exacerbate the conflict. It seems as though they have succeeded in doing this. That is why it is important now for us to help Armenia and Azerbaijan to achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict and to ensure that this type of policy of hatred cannot benefit in any way those who pursue it."@en1
