"Social undertakings are enterprises whose principal objective is not to make a profit but to achieve a positive social impact, for example, the integration of vulnerable or marginalised people. Apart from subsidies, they need other sources of funding to help them achieve their goals and thereby improve our social market economy. It is with this in mind that Sophie Auconie’s report proposes the establishment of a European passport for European Social Entrepreneurship Funds. The report was partially adopted by a large majority (there was no vote on the legislative resolution). The aim is to let the rapporteur enter into negotiations with the Council in order to reach an agreement at first reading."@en1
