Looking just at the economic aspect of this decision, the simplification of quality assurance systems for agricultural products and the resulting reduction in the time needed to certify regional and organic foods could bring considerable benefits to regions with a high concentration of such products, as well as giving them greater recognition and maintaining the high quality of these products.
