"I voted in favour of this report. It aims to ensure transparency with regard to intergovernmental exchanges. Specifically, Member States must make the Commission aware of the progress of new negotiations and verify the compatibility of the agreements with Community law. I support these commitments, which are fully in line with the desire to better coordinate the activities of the EU and the Member States in the EU’s external relations. Better regulation of the internal energy market is a key objective of the European Union: the security of energy supply depends on it."@en1
