The agreement aims to facilitate collaboration and the exchange of scientific research between the EU and Brazil. Since there is no clear cost/benefit analysis in respect of the last agreement between the EU and Brazil, I am not sure whether an extension of the agreement, which does cost the EU some money, would actually make sense.
