lpv:translated text	"On Tuesday, 11 September 2012, I voted in favour of the report on the Council’s Annual Report to Parliament on common foreign and security policy. This report from the Committee on Foreign Affairs, far from simply being a revision of Council’s report, shows the importance of a contribution from Parliament to the definition of a new strategic and forward-looking approach to the European Union’s foreign policy. In this regard, several priorities are announced that I support: the ambition of greater coordination with partners in the area of civilian and military crisis management, the need to set benchmarks for monitoring and evaluating progress over the coming years and the desire to make up for the absence of leadership of the Union by entrusting Baroness Ashton with an important lead role in all areas of European external action."@en1
