lpv:spoken text	"I have voted in favour of this important resolution, which will allow the Commission to take action against countries who fail to cooperate with the EU in its pursuit of preserving sustainable fish stocks. This is a particular necessity in light of the current dispute over the overfishing of mackerel in the North East Atlantic, and will empower the EU to ban imports of fish originating from stocks it considers to have been fished in an unsustainable manner. At a time when many species are under threat, it is imperative that we take this opportunity to work towards the common goal of preserving fish stocks for the future."@en1
