For this reason, a number of bilateral agreements have been signed between the EU and third countries. The agreement with New Zealand provides an example of effective cooperation. The abolition of trade barriers is a good solution and opens up new opportunities for EU trade. Furthermore, the new agreement does not entail any additional financial costs for the EU.
