"The European Union must be open not only to regions which are geographically close, but also to countries from the more remote corners of the globe. For this reason, a number of bilateral agreements have been signed between the EU and third countries. The agreement with New Zealand provides an example of effective cooperation. The abolition of trade barriers is a good solution and opens up new opportunities for EU trade. Furthermore, the new agreement does not entail any additional financial costs for the EU. This is a positive solution which opens up many opportunities to EU Member States."@en1
