"Well, I am delighted to respond to that. I am a great supporter of human rights but it is not the be-all and end-all and it is not the be-all and end-all of what we are doing. Our priorities at the moment should be economic resurgence and the security of our nations. These are where the priorities should be and, in our dealings with foreign countries, that is where we should put the priority, and by lecturing countries like India when we are trying to arrange a free trade agreement between the European Union and India, all we do is create difficulties and problems over so-called human rights issues and inclusion issues and all these sorts of things, which is decidedly unhelpful. Let us get our priorities right."@en1
