lpv:translated text	"As a member of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality, I voted in favour of the own-initiative report by Iratxe García Pérez on women’s working conditions in the service sector. With this text, the European Parliament is highlighting a statistic that receives very little attention in the media: the proportion of jobs for women in the service sector, a sector that provides most jobs in the European Union. Moreover, these jobs are generally part-time jobs and the wages are lower than those paid to men. As a result, I strongly welcome the adoption of this report by the European Parliament, which encourages the Member States to improve women’s working conditions in the service sector."@en1
