"I consider it essential to implement a green economy that increases gender equality and deepens social justice. We need a new social and environmental growth indicator which includes non-economic aspects of well-being and focuses on issues relating to sustainable development, such as gender equality, poverty reduction and cuts to greenhouse gas emissions. Research funding is an indispensable lever for society’s development, which should be focused on projects to develop innovative and sustainable transport solutions. It is essential to ensure that women occupy more leadership positions in companies and organisations. Equal representation of women should be ensured in decision-making bodies, in management positions, and on the boards of companies in the green-jobs sector. I think that, if it is not possible to achieve this goal on a voluntary basis, specific measures should be taken, such as introducing quotas or other methods of reinforcing equality and democracy."@en1
